O/C China Trade Portrait of Capt Walker
This China Trade Portrait of Captain Walker
was done Ca. 1850.
The portrait is very well done,
with great detail in his face and hair.
It pictures Capt. Walker with his spyglass,
as a symbol of his rank.
He is wearing a dark coat with brass buttons,
and a dark silk vest with gold leaves.
The portrait is done on linen,
and has been cleaned,
restored and mounted on board.
In the original frame,
with highly figured oriental wood veneer.
Measuring: 19 1/2" by 23 1/2" sight;
25 1/2" by 30" over all.
