A Chinese Export Silver Cann with decoration,
depicting a bamboo forest, with storks and other birds. The decoration is cast into the solid body. The handle and the foot and rim, are shaped like bamboo. The interior is gold wash. |

The mark is "YS" for the Chinese silversmith,
Yatsing who was working in Canton, during the first half of the 19th Century. There is also a partial pseudo hallmark. |
