An Antique Scrimshaw pierced Pie Crimper.
This crimper is made of whale ivory and Baleen. the baleen is sandwiched between two pieces, of whale ivory and cut and pierced, to create a very effective design. The wheel has an open cutwork design. All pinned together with a silver metal pins. Measures 8" long and is professionally mounted. Ca 1840. |
