A rare view of an American Bark,
entering the Port of Macao.
The unidentified bark is flying the house flag,
for Tucker Deland of Salem MA.
In the early days of the China Trade the ships would come into Maco to pick up a pilot for the Pearl River, clear customs and pay Cumshaw.
Ship portraits with Maco in the background are very rarely seen.
Excellent relined condition.
New China Trade style frame.
